Partition considerations may include fire rating, acoustic requirements, cleanliness requirements, glazing and blinds, timber or aluminium frameworks, colour requirements, decoration and door finishes etc.

Three are three types of partition systems mostly used within office environments which stud, demountable, and timber each are offering different advantages.

Timber Partitions

  • Where a slightly higher quality of aesthetics is required (i.e. reception, boardrooms etc.)A timber finished partition maybe considered.
  • Modular design for ease of assembly and re-locatability.
  • Half hour fire protection conforming to British standards BS476.
  • Factory manufactured components are pre-finished in clear lacquer to enhance the natural materials and ensure constant high quality.
  • Sound insulation of up to 45db (RW) for solid elevations with double glazed elevations achieving 33db.
  • Extensive choice of hardwoods.
  • Glazing options including single off-set, double glazed and silicone jointed (to include integral venation blinds if required).

Stud Partitions

  • Steel stud and plasterboard construction, 75mm, 100mm, nominal thickness.
  • Aluminium framework and finishing trims are available in a choice of colour.
  • Plasterboard walls maybe taped and jointed smooth instead of fitting trims in order to create a solid wall appearance.
  • Fire resistance to BS476; Part 22 providing half hour and one hour ratings.
  • All doors and frames are complete with cold smoke seals to BS476:part31.1.
  • Quick insulation and constant high quality using factory made door and window frames.
  • Half hour fire resistant glazing to BS476: Part 22 to maximum 3000mm x1200mm.Mondule (including integral venation blinds if required),
  • Sound insulation to BS5821 (150 to 3125 Hz) with 75mm.Solid panel achieving up to 43db (rw), 100mm. Solid panel (double boarded) 52db (rw), single glazed module will achieve 27 db and double glazed 33db.

Demountable partitions

  • Aluminium construction from a 50mm nominal thickness.
  • provides up to class ‘O’spread of flame in accordance with BS476:Part7.
  • Sound insulation to BS5821 with solid panels producing 31db (RW) single glazed 27db (RW) and double glazed 33db (rw)
  • Aluminium framework is available in a choice of colours.
  • Choice of both plastic and aluminium glazing beads.
  • Doors and door frames factory manufactured to ensure consistent high quality of products.
  • Partioning may be installed in various configurations in order to meet your desired aesthetic requirements.
